The L40 Ultra sits in Dreame’s mid-range L series and brings together a thoughtful mix of cleaning power and dock automation. The 11,000Pa suction handles the typical household mix of hard floor debris and light-to-medium carpet cleaning, while the dual flex arm system extends both the side brush and mop pads to cover the corners and baseboards that round robots typically miss.
What makes this robot stand out in its class is the dock’s self-maintenance package. After cleaning, it parks itself, empties the dustbin, rinses the mop pads with 149F water on a built-in washboard scrubber, then dries them with warm air. The clean and dirty water tanks are separate, keeping fresh water away from what’s been collected. An optional auto-solution dispenser can be added to mix cleaning solution automatically during mop refills.
For floors with rugs and carpet, the side brush and mop both lift independently so they stay clear during vacuuming passes. The onboard sensors detect obstacles and tougher stains, triggering re-mopping where needed. Scheduling, zone setup, and cleaning history are all managed through the Dreamehome app, with voice control available for basic commands.
